Tipi (teepee) and Yurt canvas holidays

Eco Retreats offer canvas holidays in a tipi (teepee) or yurt that are a relaxing  way to escape the pressures of modern life.

Established in 2004, we were among the forerunners of the "Glamping" genre that has recently become so popular. We have been established for 8 years and we are very proud of what we have achieved and the fact that our business has inspired so many other tipi and yurt sites.

We find it really interesting that many places advertise wi-fi and electricity etc, we are the opposite, there is no electric on site at all and very limited mobile reception. We really are the soothing place to come to so you can have time and space to connect with your loved ones and family, with a crackling fire and the great outdoors to run free.

We would like to reassure you that with us, we combine the luxury of a lovingly, well equipped & furnished space with the excitement of living deep in the natural world. Our site is really very spacious - you'll hardly know you have any neighbours!

We offer you the chance to reconnect with the rhythms of the environment you are in, to relax and enjoy the space we offer.  If you would like you can experience the benefits of holistic therapy. We really try to include everything you may need during your stay, if you have any queries do drop us a line.

What they say about an Eco Retreat:
"As a place to chill, you won't find many options more horizontal than this. The theme is peace and tranquillity...
Sunday Times - Britain's perfect pitches
"Does life get any greener than this?..."  Guardian

In the heart of beautiful mountains, live for two or more nights in a traditional Tipi or Yurt, experiencing the tranquillity of the natural world while still being surrounded by all your necessary modern creature comforts. Each tipi or yurt is comfortably furnished with a chimnea log fire, or wood burner, sheep skin rugs, romantic fabrics and a double bed. You have your own private facilities. Forest and mountain walks, open fires, holistic therapy on offer and magnificent views combine to give you an elemental experience.  If you would like you can also visit the fascinating 'Centre for Alternative Technology'
